Gallery Photo Wall

There's nothing I love more than a good gallery wall!

When we moved, we had a TON of frames.  This is no exaggeration.  I had at least 100!

So, I did what any good DIYer would do.  I pulled out the spray paint......

All these frames were various colors-black, brown, oak.  That all changed with a little white spray paint.

My favorite frames, for sure, are the swirly ones.

I found a whole rack of swirly awesomeness there!

I also love love this little round frame I picked up at Hobby Lobby.

It was originally white, but I needed it to break up all the white I had going on.  So, I went on the hunt for the *perfect* yellow.  Oh, I found it.  It's called Hubbell House Yellow by Valspar.

Not too bright and sun-shiney, and not too mustard.  A great in between.

Here it is in action:

The oval open frame I had.  I just removed the glass and backing.  The square one, and the yellow flower, is from Hobby Lobby.

The best tip I can give you when creating a gallery wall, is to cut out pieces of paper the size of your frames, and tape that up first.  Like this:

I forgot to take a picture of this step, but this saved me a lot of time!  It's so much easier to move around pieces of paper.  Also, you aren't making a million holes in your wall to figure out where the frames should go!

I love seeing our fun memories as I go up and down the steps each day.  Every home needs a gallery wall!

{Spa} Birthday Party!

My baby girl just turned 6!

Time, slow down please!

She is such an amazing girl-she makes our house a fun place!

For her "grown up" birthday this year, she wanted to have a Spa Party!

Here are the details.

Activities

Make your own flip flops

I grabbed a bunch of flip flops from Dollar Tree, in various sizes.  Each girl got to pick out her own pair, and jazz them up with fabric and ribbon!

Little hands, hard at work.

The finished product, which was adorable!

Group shot of all the flip flops together:

After we jazzed up the flip flops, each girl donned a white "spa robe" (which they got to take home), and have a manicure and pedicure.

Mani and Pedi

I think this was their favorite part!

After pampering and crafting, they had worked up an appetite.  Time for food!

Food

Miss J was dying to have "fancy sandwiches".
I think this girl reads WAY too much Fancy Nancy ;)

Also up, fresh strawberries.  Yum.
PS-how ADORABLE are those giant clothespins?  Love. Them.

Another random favorite of Miss J-Yogurt Raisins.

And, mini jello parfaits.

Drinks

Sweets

Strawberry Lemonade Cake Pops

Birthday Cake

that looks like nail polish, right??

And these AMAZING custom sugar cookies by Lyndsy at Sugar Dough.

Aren't the details fantastic?  I think the bath tub with bubbles is my favorite...or maybe that cute mirror.

Anyway, they didn't just look pretty.  They tasted FABULOUS!

To finish off the day, we had some photo booth fun!

All our spa guests left with robes and goody bags.

This sums up the day-
